Moments, by Semi Permanent — Tote Bag by Sarah Kerkhoven
With love, from Japan — atelier – a space, in between.
A simple everyday tote — reimagined through the complex design language of a space, in between.
For this year’s Moments salons in Tokyo, we set out to create a bag that would be useful, generous, and true to our values. It had to be functional, yet still carry the quiet elegance of our design ethos.

Sarah Kerkhoven began with a single piece of fabric, folded and cut into a three-dimensional origami-inspired construction. By using the full width and length of the textile, every thread is honored — no off-cuts, no waste.

Its seam construction borrows from one of our signature draped dresses in the new collection. A translation of curiosity: how can our design language, born in garments, speak through something as simple as a tote?

Our ultimate farmer's market tote was designed with love in the Netherlands by Sarah, and manufactured by our local heritage factory in Japan. Made with 100% organic cotton.

Sarah will be based in Tokyo, Japan, creating alongside all of us in our atelier soon. We're so grateful to be co-creating with Sarah.
